GRUBER aims to eliminate bottlenecks in pharmaceutical production
New welding solution aims to increase capacity and ensure quality in flip-off cap production
Growing demand for efficient, fully documented production in the pharmaceutical industry is placing new demands on equipment and processes. According to Gruber A/S, flip-off cap welding is increasingly becoming a production bottleneck.
The company reports that many manufacturers face challenges in increasing output without compromising quality and traceability. At the same time, there is a focus on reducing heat exposure to protect sensitive products, minimising manual handling and streamlining batch changeovers.
To meet these requirements, Gruber A/S has developed a dedicated welding machine. The solution is designed to deliver consistent weld quality at high throughput, while providing full process visibility through integrated inline inspection.
Precision and documentation requirements
According to Gruber A/S, optimising individual production parameters is no longer enough. Manufacturers need to combine speed, flexibility and documented quality in a single solution.
The machine has therefore been developed with a focus on low heat exposure, hygienic stainless steel design and integration with control systems such as Siemens PLC and HMI. This is intended to help manufacturers meet the stringent requirements of the pharmaceutical industry while supporting both small and large production runs.
Gruber A/S emphasises that the combination of automation, process control and scalability is particularly important for companies working in contract manufacturing and advanced packaging.
