Survodutide is a long-acting dual agonist that activates both glucagon and GLP-1 receptors. The drug candidate was discovered by Danish biotech Zealand Pharma and has been licensed to Boehringer Ingelheim, which is now responsible for its further development in Phase 3.

The trial evaluated the treatment’s efficacy in adults with obesity or overweight and type 2 diabetes.
