Earlier this year, Pfizer announced a $2.5 billion cost-cutting programme, including changes to its cost structure and efforts to streamline manufacturing. The measures were expected to begin at the start of 2027 and continue through to 2029.
But reports of job cuts at several of the company's manufacturing sites have already begun to emerge.
