Intuitive's da Vinci 5 receives CE marking for cardiac surgery

The medical technology company Intuitive's da Vinci 5 surgical system has received CE marking for cardiac surgery in adults in Europe.

The approval covers, among other things, minimally invasive coronary bypass surgery. From 2026 onward, Intuitive will collaborate with a limited number of European centers to establish programs for robot-assisted cardiac surgery.
