The proposed acquisition would strengthen Ferring's reproductive medicine business with Gameto's technology for the in vitro maturation (IVM) of egg cells.

Gameto is developing new treatments for women's reproductive health, with a particular focus on infertility. Its Fertilo technology aims to simplify IVF treatment by allowing immature eggs to mature outside the body, using support cells derived from stem cells. The aim is to reduce the need for hormone stimulation and shorten the treatment process.
