A nine-year journey with Aqilion is coming to an end. New challenges and a new environment await life science entrepreneur Sarah Fredriksson, who is taking over as CEO of AAX Biotech. “It’s going to be really exciting,” she says in an interview.

AAX is a relatively young company spun out of Karolinska Institutet. It develops technologies designed to help pharmaceutical companies create new antibody-based treatments.

“It’s exciting for me because I started out at Genovis, and our customers were also developing antibody-based drugs. So, in a way, it feels like coming back to where I started,” says Sarah Fredriksson.
